FAQ: How to handle Constipation during Pregnancy?



It is a common problem during pregnancy, mostly due to the misconceptions about eating for two lives(mother and child) which leads to overeating/frequent eating and then to digestive issues/constipation and cravings. It can be handled through few simple life style adjustments.

1. Mindful Eating Practice

  • Get connected with your Hunger and Eat accordingly
  • Chew your Food Slowly & Properly 
  • Observe the Taste and Swallow when you feel comfortable and calm
  • Stop When you start feeling uncomfortable, When the food is no more enjoyable, When you started feeling heavy. 

2. Healthy Diet

  • Add more Fruits, Vegetables, Greens & Sprouts in the Diet
  • Use Unpolished, Unprocessed Whole Grains, Pulses & Oils
  • Avoid Processed/Artificial Foods

3. Observe Elimination and Act

  • If you feel constipated/gastric/acidic/unwilling to eat skip a meal
