Recipe: Conservatively Cooked Millet Vegetable Pongal!


Ingredients - For 5 Servings:
  • Little Millet/ Kodo Millet/ Foxtail Millet/ Barnyard Millet - 300 grams (55 to 60 grams/ person)
  • Carrot - 400 grams
  • Beans - 300 grams
  • Chow Chow - 300  
  • Potato - 300
  • Ginger - As per taste (10 grams)
  • Pepper & Jeera Powder - As per taste
  • Curry Leaves - As Required (10 grams)
  • Salt - As per taste
Preparation:
  • Cook Millet in a vessel with enough water
  • When it is partially cooked add Vegetables and Continue Cooking (add water if required)
  • When Vegetables are cooked add Finely chop Ginger and Curry Leaves and Switch off the stove
  • Add Pepper, Jeera Powder & Salt as per taste
  • Mix it properly and serve 
*No oil is used - Use Spices and Salt conservatively
